We will be chatting with renowned lip and tongue tie expert, Dr. Fatina Shtivelman to answer all the burning questions about oral restrictions and their effect on breastfeeding, speech, and oral anatomy. She will be joined by model and founder of Bumpsuit, Nicole Trunfio, who had a very transformative experience with her own baby's tongue tie and the effect it had on their breastfeeding journey and her postpartum. About the Host
Nic Trunfio is a model, founder of Bumpsuit, podcast host and mother of 3. After having some issues with breastfeeding her first child, she eventually discovered it was due to her baby's oral restrictions and felt immediate relief after having them revised. She has become passionate about the importance of addressing any oral anatomy issues your baby might have so that breastfeeding can be a joyful experience for everyone. She currently lives in Austin, TX.
Dr. Fatina Shtivelman is a board certified pediatric dentist specializing in the treatment of lip & tongue ties. After having her son Julian, she struggled with breastfeeding issues and made it her mission to learn about oral restrictrions. Having the procedure done on Julian helped immensely with nursing issues, and Dr. Fatina wanted to help other moms with the same issues. Dr. Fatina has completed multiple educational courses with renowned professionals, Dr. Baxter, Dr. Ghaheri, Dr. Zaghi and the American Laser Study Club.
